how far in advance should we book?

My calendar fills quickly, and I'm currently booked out for the next year. To ensure your date is secured, I recommend inquiring 12–24 months in advance. This allows us to plan your experience thoughtfully and increases the likelihood that I'll be available for your wedding date. That said, love doesn’t always follow a timeline! I happily take on "last-minute" weddings whenever my schedule allows.

WHAT MAKES SUPER 8 DIFFERENT FROM DIGITAL VIDEO?

Super 8 film captures your day with a nostalgic texture that editing software and filters can’t replicate. Each frame is filled with delicate grain and soft flickers of light, which gives your wedding video that distinct vintage look. Unlike digital video, Super 8 doesn’t record sound, which allows the emotion and movement to speak for itself. This creates a timeless keepsake that feels both intimate and effortlessly romantic.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS?

Absolutely! I love traveling  to capture love stories wherever they unfold, and I'm always looking to venture out of my little corner of upstate south carolina. Whether your celebration takes place along the coast, in the mountains, or across the ocean, I’m always eager to join you. A travel fee does apply to help cover accommodations and travel expenses.

Do you offer coverage for full wedding weekends or rehearsal dinners?

I do! From the welcome dinner to the quiet moments of the morning, wedding weekend coverage tells the complete narrative of your love and celebration. For couples seeking a more immersive experience, I offer bespoke coverage through my "Custom Experiences" package.

how do you describe your shooting style?

My style is storytelling-driven and intimate. I focus on capturing moments as they naturally unfold, blending candid emotion with carefully considered composition. Each frame, whether film or digital, is designed to feel timeless and elegant. My goal is for your gallery to be a reflection of the love, laughter, and quiet gestures that often go unnoticed, as well as the "traditional" wedding day moments.

Can I request specific poses or shots?

Absolutely! I love to see your inspiration from Pinterest or mood boards to understand the style and moments you adore. With that said, these boards are often collections of different photographers’ best work, so I don’t replicate them all exactly. My priority is to preserve the organic emotion and flow of your day, while subtly weaving in the poses and ideas that feel authentic to you and your vision.

do you work with a second shooter?

I often do! For packages that include both digital and film photography, I like to have a second (digital) photographer accompany me to ensure no moment is missed. This allows me to curate every film shot thoughtfully, while maintaining the natural flow and intimacy of your day. I tend to work with photographers who have a similar shooting style to mine to ensure that your gallery stays consistent.

do you only shoot 35mm film?

While 35mm is my signature film choice, I also offer 120 (medium format) film as a curated add-on. Its rich tones and  depth create heirloom-quality images, captured with the deliberate care that this format demands. Medium format cameras are more time consuming, so I typically like to schedule a few 5-minute time slots into your timeline to focus on capturing these images.
